Welcome Pastor Chad and family

Miriam and Pastor Carl Crouse were honored on Sept. 7, '16 to share memories of the Crouses 65 year history in Sumas.  The video is just over an hour and a half long, but if you decide to take the time to watch it you will learn something about Sumas, the Crouses, and be entertained along the way.  Enjoy.

SACC supports Port of Hope Ministries

Pastor Carl was honored to join Chaplain Phil Dufrene on the CAP JACKSON cargo ship on June 17, '16.  Chaplain Phil is the director of Port of Hope Ministries based in Sumas.  Port of Hope sends chaplains to cargo ships in several ports around the world including the Fraser-Surrey Docks.  The 23 member crew on the CAP JACKSON is from the South Pacific Nation of Kirbati (worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/oceania/ki.htm).  The photos offer a glimpse of chaplaincy work on the cargo ships.  The CAP JACKSON is on a route that will bring the ship back to the Fraser-Surrey Docks every 11 weeks.  Chaplain Phil watches the ship as it gets closer to port and makes his plans to see the guys and get to know them.  In one of the photos, Chaplain Phil is presenting a New Testament to one of the crew members in the Kibati language (he printed it with a tool from google).  Pray for the SeaFarers of the Seas who make great sacrifice to be apart from their families in order to provide a better life.  Pray for the love of Christ to bring them peace.

Family Night with Mike French

Mike French was our guest at the Family Night Sunday, Feb. 21. He reminded us of the impact Pastor Earl Crouse and the Sumas Church had on his ministry back in the early 70's. He spoke of  the need to live by God's promises (www.powerpackedpromises.com.) We were also blessed by the piano playing and song leading of Betty Boon.

History of Camp Nooksack ~ presented by Pastor Carl

This was a community event sponsored by the Whatcom County Library.  NOTE: this video is the RAW FOOTAGE of the presentation.  An edited version is being produced that will have more photographs and it will be much shorter.  This whole video is about 1 hour and 15 minutes.  The first third is a formal presentation.  The last part is interaction with questions, answers, stories and songs.  Enjoy.

The Church Family on Sundays so much enjoy One Another
Everyone is welcome to join us for the 10:00 am service
