This week is the last week to walk with the walking group. (And the secret will never be told that a few times the group made it as far as the dairy for an ice cream!)
Jason Duncan would love to receive mail. Send to: (Update, new address coming, Jason was moved....)
The Catalyst Youth Group meets Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. Let others know about this great opportunity and challenge them to get involved.
It’s not too early to think about holiday activities. At SACC, by design, we don’t have a staff figuring out the calendar, because we have YOU.
Years ago SACC decided the best way to go forward as a church is to empower people be involved in projects, small groups, programs, and all sorts of ministries. Look around to see what’s going on. If you have an idea find the right people to see if others can join together to improve your idea and make it happen. Let Pastor Carl know, not so much for approval, but to avoid overlap with other activities or ministries. If you are about to launch a small group, get it on the calendar and in the bulletin.
We all need to pray, work together, and respect each other. Bringing glory to God is the chief purpose for everything we do. SACC strives, in the name of Christ, to help each other and make a difference in the community.
Note to folks in the community that have a desire to join SACC for worship on a Sunday morning, but you have personal fear. Did you know you can now quietly come in the church, sit with a few people, and meet people in your timing as you feel comfortable? SACC has an informal overflow area in our fellowship hall. If you want, come in the kitchen door at 10 on Sunday morning, find a quiet place in the fellowship hall to hear the service and watch the tv monitor. Everyone has to start somewhere. At SACC we understand it’s not easy for everyone to jump in to a group of people they don’t know in a new setting and feel completely at home. We want you to take the time you need.
Children Invite Children invite Children
Sunday School is a great place to learn about Jesus through the Bible. The classes are just beginning. We are convinced there are many children in the community that will find a safe place to ask questions and learn about God, and a place where children will make a commitment to follow Jesus. If you know children that need a ride, and you are not able to provide transportation, others will step up to provide rides.
Classes for adults and children all ages start at 9 a.m. every Sunday morning.
