Notice the new TV in the fellowship hall with camera. An informal overflow area is being created to expand our space for more people to be able to join us for the worship service and other public gatherings. A second projector will be added in the next month so that what is on the screen in the sanctuary will be able to be seen in the overflow area.
This Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 10 to noon, the Clothesline building will be open for the distribution of paper products to qualifying families. It is our privilege to help those who need a little extra. Families who live in Sumas, and have food stamps with no cash benefits are eligible.
Doris Hamming expresses her thanks to her church family and friends as she faced the loss of Don. The kind words, prayers, and innumerable acts of kindness were so much appreciated. She says she’d love to send a thank you note to each person, but she’s afraid she’d miss somebody and the number of cards would be overwhelming.

Tuesday is the monthly Bridge Ministries meeting, 7:00, at JJ Fryes community center. A number of people representing different ministries gather to encourage each other and share the practical needs and ways we might be able to help each other. What we have in common is a desire to make a difference in the community in the name of Christ. If you want to visit to see where the Lord might be calling you to get involved, show up and listen for the opportunities.

It’s the second Sunday of the month which means it’s Dinner at the Sumas RV Park at 5:30, Aug. 14. Anyone is welcome. If you decide you want to prepare food in the future on a 2nd or last Sunday evening, talk to Denny or Nettie Bos.
