SACC is adopting the Good News Club (GNC) at the Sumas grade school! Andy and Rachel Meinzinger are the leaders of this great after school program. The GNC takes place on the campus of the Sumas Grade School, but it is sponsored by Whatcom County Child Evangelism Fellowship. Child Evangelism Fellowship® also known as CEF® is a Bible-centered, worldwide organization that is dedicated to seeing every child reached with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, discipled and established in a local church. Currently over 3,400 weekly school-related Good News Clubs are held across the nation, reaching more than 119,000 students each week. These clubs provide opportunity for children in the public schools to hear the Gospel and learn truth from God's Word.
Our Church has a great opportunity to make a difference in Sumas by providing helpers, snacks, and a lot of prayer. Prayer for the children of the Sumas Community and the team of leaders is incredibly important. Let kids of the Sumas community know about the Good News Club. Kids need signed permission slips to attend, which can be found at the grade school or SACC. This is a fabulous opportunity. GNC wants us to tell the children about our own Sunday School and church, too, because one goal is to see kids find a good church. Linda Moe is the contact person if you want to know more about getting involved as a helper.
May the Lord Jesus Christ be praised as the children of Sumas and the Nooksack Valley hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and give their lives to him.
