This past week was a great week for Vacation Bible School. The week started with 49 children from the community and went up to a high of 71. A lot of food was gathered for the food bank. It is so good to work together with other churches in the community. About ten of the helpers were from SACC.
The Summer Walking Club has revised its schedule and is meeting Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. The walk starts and ends at the church building. Anyone is welcome.
Note from Pastor Ryan Riley of SWCF
As we look forward to our grand opening on the Evening of the 10th of July, Elizabeth and I sit and wonder what God has in store for us. We are excited and yet a bit intimidated as the doors are about to open and we want to remain in service to Him and not ourselves. God has been great to us during this seemingly long drawn out process and to Him goes all the glory of everything that has been done!!
I ask that you join us, if not in person, then in prayer on July 10th at 7PM as we begin our first service. We will hold a meet and greet at 5:30 and a ribbon cutting at 6:00 and there will be refreshments as well. There will be a series of events throughout the week at 7PM each night the speakers are as follows…….
Tuesday, Dr. Sam Warren
Wednesday, Rev. Rick Qualls
Thursday, Jonas Knudsen (Youth Dynamics)
I look forward to sharing what He has done here and sharing the love of Christ with each and every one of you. Blessings!!!!

Sumas Days on June 25 was an opportunity to bless the community. Thanks to all who helped make the day a success from those who ran booths in the City Park during the day and the face painters and popcorn makers in the church parking lot at night.
The Sumas Library is an important resource in our community. The hours the library is open are Mon & Wed. noon to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday noon to 4:00 p.m. The library is located at 451 Second Street, in the same building as the Senior Center. · Knit Night for those that enjoy good conversation and knitting is on July 11 at 6 p.m. Bring your own projects.
Next Sunday Diane Bolin will be the guest pianist, and Pastor Jack will have the morning message.
