Judges 16:1-22 is Oct. 30's scripture. The message: “Do not Drift Away from your Faith.”
The Women’s Fall rally is Nov. 5th in Sedro-Woolly. The ladies will be leaving the church parking lot to carpool. All women of the church are welcome to go.
Special guest will be Sarah Baer who will be visiting SACC the first week-end in Nov, along with her husband, Phil. The Baer’s have been supported by SACC for several decades as Bible translators with Wycliffe.
A Christmas in October offering will be received next Sunday. Contributions will be used to provide financial mission gifts to career missionaries and children, retired A.C. missionaries and national leaders. Any extra gifts will help for a variety of needs for A.C. missionaries.
The Women's Ministries are happy to announce they will be having a Holiday Bazaar Nov 12, from 9 am to 3 pm. Make your reservation for a table with Shelly Simpson or Christi Joyce. So far, ten tables are reserved with quite a good variety of products and themes. Each table will cost $5 or $6, depending on the table or place reserved. The Women's Ministries will have a table to sell books. If you can spare 1 or 2 books for the booksale, bring them to the church. Proceeds will go to the Women's Ministries which meets once per month and is open to all women of the church.
The church received $855 in memory of Don Hammingh. As requested by the family, the money was divided between the Clothesline and Seeds of Hope. Don would have wanted the money to make a difference in the community to help people.
Bill and Kathy Kamphouse have moved to 2813 E. Badger Rd., Everson, WA 98247, Phone 966-7970. The entire church is invited to an open house next Sunday afternoon, Oct. 30, from 3 to 5. Come any time in that time period and stay as long as you like.
The people of SACC are faithful givers. An average of $7316 is needed each month to meet our 2011 budget. So far this year we have averaged $7551 a month. In Sept. the offerings were $8,074. These figures do not include special giving or fundraising for special projects.
Lately the Clothesline has been packed with people. It shows the need and that word is getting around. One of the ladies from the Clothesline crew emphasized that they do not think of the Clothesline as charity, but rather as a community exchange program, where people give what they no longer need and take new items.
Down East Boys & Evergreen State Quartet will be live in concert, next Friday, Oct. 28, 7 p.m. (doors open 6 p.m.) @ NV Reformed Church. Free will offering.
