$956 was given last week for the Christmas in October special offering (that includes $400 from Women’s Ministries). If you were not prepared and would still like to give, mark your special offering and place it in the regular offering.
The Crouses & Mumfords are grateful to the blessings ex-tended to them last Sunday on Pastor’s appreciation Sunday.
The Baers guests for Sunday School Today SACC has supported Phil and Sarah Baer for over 20 years. The Baer’s will bring greetings during the worship service, and be a part of the Adult Sunday School class, giving a presentation on their ministry and answering questions. Make a special point to join the Sunday School class. The youth Sunday School class will also join the discussion.
SACC is adopting the Good News Club at the grade school, by providing helpers, snacks, and a lot of prayers. Pray for the children of the Sumas Community. Last Wednesday, Linda Moe and Pastor Carl went as helpers to get a first hand experience of the group. The Meinzingers have an obvious passion for the children and for the Lord. Let kids know in the community about this wonderful opportunity to join the GNC. Right now only one helper is needed a week, so if you would like to try it out, or be on a rotation, committing to helping once a month or every other month, talk to Linda. Th kids need signed permission slips of parents or guardians.
A tremendous way to grow spiritually is to get involved in ministry because God invites us to be engaged in Kingdom work by serving others. Although the list is endless of what God might be calling you to do, here are some current needs and a few possible future needs: A Bread ministry…furniture ministry…good news club helper…Sunday School helper… children’s ministry at Seeds of Hope…drivers may be needed in the future with a SOH bus ministry… videographer… Potluck Sunday table crew…Men’s ministry heading up a regular men’s breakfast…Ask Pastor Carl or other logical people what any of these opportunities are about. Ask the Lord how he wants you to get involved.
Last Sunday a Prayer Chain insert was in the bulletin. If you did not turn in your request to be added, more inserts are available. If you want to be added, put the paper in the offering or hand it to Doris Hammingh.
Boxes will be packed for soldiers at the Women’s Ministry meeting this month, on Nov. 14. All women are invited.
