“Thanks so much for your kindness and generosity on Pastor appreciation last Sunday” ~ the Crouses and Mumfords!
We could use more food in the food pantry. The food must be non-perishable food. If you do have fresh food or extra food that is frozen arrangements can be made, for there are those in the church or Seeds of Hope that can use it immediately.
The next few months the Sunday messages will continue from the Book of Luke. The story of Jesus is the Greatest Story Ever Told. In November we’ll look at chapter 4, then in December the focus will be on the first chapters of Luke, the birth stories.
Nov. 11: Luke 4:1-13, Temptation
Nov. 18: Luke 4:14-30, Now or Never
Nov. 25: Luke 4:31-44, Doctor Jesus
Paper Products will be distributed on Nov. 21, even though it is the day before Thanksgiving. However, the Clothesline will not be open the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 24.
Giving in the Sunday offerings the past three months: July, $9363; August, $7362; September, $9516. May we at SACC be faithful with the funds entrusted to us.
A Bridge Ministry meeting is scheduled for tomorrow evening at 7:00. This board represents a variety of service and outreach groups in the Nooksack Valley. While each group is separate, we find it helpful to bless each other and offer assistance when requested and when possible. After Bridge, the Seeds of Hope Board will meet. Talk to Denny Bos if you have questions.
Seeds of Hope now has a van that you’ll begin to see around town and in the Foothills. The patterns for when to use it and where to go are being developed.
An average of 30+ families use the Clothesline on Saturdays this year. 20+ families receive Paper Products once a month.
