Tomorrow morning all women are invited to a women’s ministry meeting, 10 a.m. The women always have fun as they talk about how they can help make a difference in the community.
All guys are invited to the Men’s Breakfast next Saturday. The feeling the men have every month when they gather is that is a good thing, and they know more guys from the community would find it a safe and inspiring time with good company and good food. God is good and will bring guys together for mutual support and encouragement.
All women are invited to a half day White Banner Women’s retreat next Saturday, Nov. 17, nine to noon @ Fountain Community Church. White Banners is a ministry for healing and freedom. It is about surrendering your wounds, disappointments, and fears to Jesus Christ. By recognizing the spiritual battle we are in and surrendering to Him, we are set free to live an abundant life rather than merely surviving it. Talk to Shelly Simpson with questions.
Congratulations to Sam and Savannah Larson who were married last night, Nov. 10. Wonderful!
SACC has an opportunity to bless the staff of the Sumas and Nooksack grade schools! The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 20, we have been asked if we’ll provide cookies to be distributed by the Good News Club. Kim Smith is the question lady to go to. A sign up sheet is available.
Paper Products will be distributed on Nov. 21, even though it is the day before Thanksgiving. However, the Clothesline will not be open the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 24.
Children need to be careful with the equipment on the platform and the sound booth during fellowship time. Knobs are sometimes turned and instruments have been known to be moved. If parents and others would remind the children to keep little fingers away from equipment it will be helpful.
Would you like to help with food at the Kendall campus “Seeds of Hope”? Contact Marlene (988-0797). People are needed to donate, prepare and serve food as well as set-up and clean-up. Another way to help is set-up and take-down tables and chairs. Next Sunday, Nov. 18, is the Foothills Fellowship kick-off. Seeds of Hope is the sponsor of the Foothills Fellowship. SACC, along with several other churches in the community, are honored to be cheerleaders and will help as we are able. It’s all about the Kingdom!
Thanks to all who helped at the Holiday Bazaar. The Women’s Ministry group and Clothesline made $376.50 from the raffle, sales and table rentals. Congrats to Shirley Nielsen who won the quilt.
No youth tonight since it is a holiday week-end. Pastor Jack and Kizzy have taken a week of vacation.
Alcoholics Anonymous is now meeting at the same time and say each week, Tuesdays at 7 p.m., but the location is at the Sumas Christian Reformed Church. If it’s a group that fits your needs, please do not hesitate to get involved.
The Sumas Food bank is open Tuesday of Thanksgiving week.
