A Baby and Children’s Dedication is coming on Nov. 17 during the morning worship service. So far three children have been confirmed whose parents would like to stand before the congregation and declare their desire to raise their children in Christian homes. If you would like to dedicate your children please talk to Pastor Carl in the next week or two.

Not too late to talk to Christi Joyce about a self-defense class for women. She is amazed by all the interest. The class will be free. The tentative dates are Nov. 8 and 22, 7 to 8:30. Space is limited.

The names of the people in the all church photo celebrating 100 years of SACC in Sumas, will soon be written down as a permanent record. The photo is a record of all who could make it on that day. We also want to add to the list folks who were not in the photo but who consider SACC to be their community of faith. If that fits you, fill out the enclosed slip of paper and hand it to Barb Nims, Pastor Carl or put it in the offering plate.
The birthday/anniversary list will be made available in 2014 separate from the church directory. Both lists will be posted for input, but if you have additions or corrections you may get them to Sally Crouse anytime.
The sermon next week will be from Rom. 12:3-8: “Trusting other people.” A key to reaching more and more people with the good news of Jesus Christ is to trust other brothers and sisters to use the gifts the good Lord has given them.
“Dear friends in Sumas! Thank you so much for your partnership in ministry. It truly is a gift. This past month I have had a chance to come alongside some of the new women in our group… I love the way they are embracing taking ownership and growing in their faith. Right now we are looking at how our faith intersects with building community and being in God’s Mission. Thank you for being a huge part of this!” ~ Kirstin Ward, missionary in Seattle through Navigators supported by SACC
“Dear friends at SACC, Thank you for your faithful support of Seeds of Hope Ministries! Your generosity aids us in providing for the physical and spiritual needs of the people in Sumas and Foothills communities.
In His Service, Michelle Spencer, SOH Secretary”
