* Sunday School for all ages begins Sept. 11.
Congratulations: Andrew James Raymond was born to Michelle, Adam and big sister Arianna on Aug. 23. He weighed 8 lbs, 7 oz. and was 21 ½” long.
Ministry Opportunity: There are children in the Sumas Community who would be in Sunday School if a ride is available. Talk to Denny Bos or Pastor Carl if you want to make a commitment to filling your seat belts with children each Sunday for this coming Sunday School year.
Last chance today to take home dishes or coats that you might have inadvertently left in the kitchen or on the coat rack. After today, those that are left, will be passed on to others.
If you are a leader of a small group take a look at the calendar and let Pastor Carl know when you will begin, where, and all the details so others can know the opportunities.
The elders meet on Wednesday, 7 p.m.
The message next Sunday is the last from the series, “Lord, Come to My Messy House.” It will be based on Acts 2:42-47, “The House Church.” We will explore Romans 4 the rest of September, and how we are all “Equally Unequal” before God.
Have you noticed the new informal overflow area? It will be useful on Sundays when we don’t have quite enough room. If it fits your families needs, don’t hesitate to use it anytime.
Walk, walk, walk. Anyone can show up for the walking group on Mon and Tues evenings. thanks to Trina for being there faithfully each time. The group will continue through Sept.
Do you have any odd jobs that need doing that you are willing to pay to have done? There are folks around Sumas that would be helped with even a little extra work.
JUNK IN THE TRUNK... A fundraiser for WOW is coming on Friday, Sept. 9. Vendors will rent a parking lot space in the SACC parking lot for $10, and then they can sell whatever they want to make a little bit of money for themselves. Household goods, crafts, face painting, art work, as long as it is legal it is eligible to be sold. It’s a way for the WOW ladies to make a little extra money and a way for folks from the community to get a little extra for themselves.
